We began our February with a day trip to the zoo with Aunt Jenny.

We had a special heart-shaped breakfast…

Jack & Lucy each got  a Valentine bucket with some fun little goodies.  Jack and Lucy were most excited about the“mousie timer”, bath crayons, and Peter Pan!P1010279P1010282

We went to Aunt Jenny’s today for Sunday Sunday Family Fun day.  The kids had a great time playing, eating, and siting out by the fire pit.  P1010317

When I took this picture I said, “Say cheese” and Lucy really cheesed it up for me!  Her big personality is cracking us up daily.

Jack loves to play with Nolan’s old toys.

I guess the adults didn’t want to be photographed…

Each month as I reflect I am reminded of all I have to be thankful for.  Lucy has been getting in tooth after tooth and has been, err um, grumpier than usual.  She, or her alter ego “Hurricane Baby Destruction” has broken my phone, but she is funny and loves carrying her dolls around.  She is obsessed with the cat, baby Addy, and greets anyone who walks in the room with a “Ha Da!” (Hello)… Every night we catch Jack’s little head sneaking from his room to ours at bed time, he has become a more picky eater, he is hating mornings, he is testing us more and challenging our patience, he is writing his name, he is loving school… Mike and I know we have it good and we are thankful.

January 2013

After a germy December where we spent weeks fighting the flu & stomach bug we were so happy when Aunt Kelly, Christian, and Carter came to ring in the new year with us! For the most part, the weather was very mild so we spent lots of time enjoying each other and the weather.

Feeding sea gulls at the beach… All three of the young boys were soaked when we were done… they started by dipping their toes, and ended drenched.  I couldn’t capture that fun on film.P1010080P1010081P1010083P1010084P1010085P1010086P1010088

We went to St. Augustine and fed the fish, had a lovely family dinner, and rode the red train to look at the lights.  This night was quite chilly and we had to bundle up!

and we spent some time at Nana & Grandaddy’s house.  P1010122P1010123P1010127P1010128

The rest of January was pretty uneventful. We spent as much time as we could bumming around the house in pjs (or less), enjoying our Christmas gifts.

We had a nice outdoor lunch and went to the beach with Aunt Linda & Uncle Paddy. I love Florida winter!

We are thankful for nice weather, and weekends filled with quality time.  It’s not all sunshine and roses around here, but these are the highlights that I treasure.
