October

I can’t believe October is over.  It flew by.  It was a fun and exciting month.
We welcomed the newest member of our family.
Welcome baby Addison Marie Kelly. All the kids are excited about the new baby.  Emma is an amazing big sister.  Lucy has become obsessed with baby dolls and runs to find Addy as soon as we walk in the Kelly’s house, and Jack talks about Baby Addy like she has been here all along.

Just before Addy was born we joined the Kelly family at the pumpkin patch.  Jack spent most of his time running through the maze and going down the pipe slide.  Lucy and Emma enjoyed the hayride and feeding the goats.

Jack had an animal parade at preschool.  He timidly played the tambourine and sang.  I don’t think he loved having a ton of parents watch him parade.  He refused to wear his jacket and proceeded to shiver throughout the event.  Lucy was excited to see her brother at school… and she enjoyed utilizing the playground.

Jack learned how to say the Pledge of Allegiance in school.  He earned a “baby flag” by reciting it to his teachers.

Aunt Kelly, Christian, and Carter came to visit and we celebrated Aunt Jenny's & Nolan’s birthdays.

Halloween was “finally” here.  Jack picked out his costume this year and was excited about wearing it.  This is VERY different from past years as he hated dressing up.  Last year we could barely get him to put on half of his fireman costume.  The year before he was Charlie brown because we wanted him to be in costume but needed it to feel like “normal” clothes to him.  Oh, and Lucy? Last year she slept through Halloween.  I had a dalmation costume for her.  She never actually wore it on Halloween.

  1. That was the cutest recitation of the Pledge that I have ever heard! Capt. Hook and Tink, TOO cute (although the fireman and dalmation costume would have been adorable, too!) Thanks for sharing all of these memories!!!
